This Privacy Policy describes how Vernas ("we", "us", or "our") collects and uses information when you visit vernas.app and join our waitlist. This policy covers the waitlist website only. A separate Privacy Policy will apply to the Vernas app when it launches.
What We Collect
Email address
When you submit the waitlist form, we collect your email address. We use it solely to notify you when Vernas launches and to send relevant product updates. We will not sell your email address or use it for unrelated marketing.
Usage data
We automatically collect standard analytics data when you visit the site, including your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on each page. We also collect UTM parameters from the URL when present, which tell us which channel referred you to the site (for example, a link from social media or a newsletter).
This data is collected and processed by Vercel Analytics, a service provided by Vercel Inc. (United States). Vercel processes this data on our behalf. You can review Vercel's privacy practices at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Cookies
We use only essential session cookies required to operate the site. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your email address on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at the address below — we will remove your email from our list promptly.
We process usage data on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used so we can improve it.
How Long We Keep Your Data
- Email addresses: until you request removal, or until 24 months after the Vernas app launches, whichever comes first.
- Usage data: up to 24 months from the date of collection.
When retention periods expire, we securely delete or anonymise your data.
International Transfers
Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase (European Union) and processed by Vercel Analytics (United States). Where data is transferred outside your country of residence, we take steps to ensure it is handled with appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable data protection law.
Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to how we process your data
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority in your country of residence

Children
This site is not directed at anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted their data to us, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify waitlist members by email before the changes take effect.
